The Process of Casting

Castings are subject to test processes, such as chemical composition and physical properties and certified by relevant authorities.

Castfab Engineering casts a wide range of products to customers’ specification from concept to finished casting and assemblies, using gravity die casting, pressure die casting and sand casting. Castfab uses aluminium alloys as per IS, DIN, ASTIM, JIS standards. Special application alloys can also be developed as per customer specifications. The following alloys are currently used for castings:

IS specification: A4, A6 and A9
BS specification: LM 4, LM 6, LM 9, LM 25
DIN: A1Si 7Mg, A1Si 10 Mg, A1 Si 12, A1 Si 12 (Cu)
ASTM Standard: 319.0, 413.0, 360.0, 356.0 etc.,

Castfab Engineering has the most modern infrastructure to manufacture castings, weighing from 250 grams to 15.0 Kilo grams a piece each.

Manufacturing capacity of Castfab Engineering is 30 Metric Tons of Aluminium castings per month and the capacity can be further extended based on customer needs.

The in-house tool room has facilities to manufacture Gravity Die casting tools, using the modern CAD/CAM tools in tandem with all necessary types of measuring equipments, gauges etc., that are duly calibrated to ensure better tool quality, accuracy and longer tool life.
